Free Online Pomodoro Timer
The Pomodoro Technique breaks your work into focused 25-minute intervals separated by 5-minute breaks. After four focus sessions, you take a longer 15-30 minute break. ScreenTimer’s Pomodoro timer handles the entire cycle automatically with a beautiful circular progress ring and session tracking dots.
Fully Configurable Intervals
The default 25/5/15 split works for most people, but you can customize all three durations to match your personal rhythm. Some users prefer 50-minute focus blocks with 10-minute breaks. Others find 15-minute sprints more effective. Adjust the values and the timer adapts instantly.
Automatic Phase Transitions
When a focus session ends, the timer automatically switches to the break phase and vice versa. After the number of sessions you configure (default: 4), it triggers a long break instead of a short one. Session dots track your progress visually. You can also skip any phase manually with the Skip button.
Why Pomodoro Works
Research shows that the Pomodoro Technique reduces cognitive fatigue compared to unstructured work sessions. The fixed intervals make starting feel manageable and create a sustainable rhythm that carries you through an entire workday. Combined with our browser tab title display, you always know how much focus time remains without switching away from your work.
